Merritt Island Mindfulness
Merritt Island, owned by Bowdoin College, is a beautiful 28-acre island located in the New Meadows River less than 25 minutes from campus. This trip will spend time exploring local beaches and canoeing around Merritt Island. The focus of this trip will be on mindfulness, meditation, and wellness. 
Trained students and faculty from Bowdoin will lead participants in meditation exercises, yoga, and other facilitated activities to hone students skills in these practices. Further, students will have plenty of time for swimming, games, and getting to know one another. Get a taste of island life in Maine on this Orientation trip!
