Stonington Community
Learn about and explore Stonington, a Downeast island community known to be the largest lobster port in the state.
Students will learn about Stonington by connecting with Linda Nelson, Bowdoin alumna and Bowdoin’s 2022 Common Good Award winner. Activities may include volunteering with local initiatives, meeting with residents and exploring local attractions of the greater Stonington and Deer Isle area. Note: Students will be sleeping indoors and have access to showers.
