Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal anti-discrimination law that protects individuals from sex-based discrimination in education programs or activities that receive Federal financial assistance. 

Bowdoin provides supportive measures, resources, and other services for reported instances of sex-based discrimination, including but not limited to: sexual misconduct, gender-based violence, interpersonal violence, harassment, stalking, intimate partner/relationship violence, and unequal opportunities based on gender.
