The College's subscrption for Experian IdentityWorks will end as of April 1, 2023. The College has offered this credit monitoring and identity repair service at no-cost to benefits eligible faculty and staff over the past few years.

Wth these services now available through many financial institutions and a new no-cost offering from Cigna for faculty and staff enrolled in one of Bowdoin's health plans the decision has been made to end the Experian service. For those currently enrolled in Experian IdentityWorks, you will receive a renewal notice from Experian notifying you of the termination of coverage. If you choose to extend coverage at your own cost or need assistance, please contact Experian's customer care team at 877-890-9332. 

Starting in March 2023, Cigna is offering IdentityForce credit monitoring services as part of our Cigna medical plan coverage at no additional cost, as noted above. IdentifyForce offered through Cigna helps keep your identity safe by monitoring, alerting and fixing any identify theft compromises. The service is available at no-cost to faculty and staff who are enrolled in one of the College's health plans and any child(ren) living in your household up to age 18. Faculty and staff can buy additional coverage for a spouse or adult child 18 or over at a cost of $2 per month. Retirees of the College who are under age 65 and covered by one of the Cigna medical plans in the retiree group are also eligible for the new no-cost Cigna service.

  • Call 833-580-2523 to speak with a dedicated representative who can assist with enrollment
  • Faculty and Staff who have already registered on myCigna.com and have provided their email address may receive a registration link via email from IdentifyForce
