Paul joined Bowdoin College as an Academic Technology Consultant in 2015. Paul’s background is in education (he was a high school teacher in England and in Maine) and in technology support, with a speciality in Apple computers and software. Paul provides support for a number of college technology resources including our Panopto video management system, our Canvas learning management system, Qualtrics surveys, virtual reality hardware and software and the Media Commons in Hawthorne - Longfellow library. Paul has a BSc in Geography from Kingston University and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the Institute of Education at the University of London.
Aaron Gilbreath

Aaron Gilbreath is Bowdoin’s Statistical Consultant. He provides support for statistical analysis and statistical software (particularly R), assists in spatial analysis using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and offers cartographical services to faculty, students, and staff. He has also co-taught courses with a GIS component in History, Economics, and Digital and Computational Studies. He has a PhD in Geography from the University of Kansas and has worked in higher ed since 2006. A native Mainer, Aaron came to Bowdoin in 2016 after being an Assistant Professor of Geography at the College of Staten Island, City University of New York.

David provides programming and application support for various digital initiatives for the Bowdoin College Museum of Art, the Peary-MacMillan Arctic Museum, and the George J. Mitchell Department of Special Collections & Archives as well as collaborating on faculty projects. After hours David enjoys learning about all the many haunted aspects of this fine institution!

Juli provides support for assistive technology and digital accessibility. She is an advocate for digital accessibility and universal design implementation within Canvas and in other online spaces for faculty, staff and students. She works closely with the Library, Baldwin Center for Teaching and Learning, and the Student Accessibility Office. She participates in the Bowdoin’s Accessibility Taskforce and co-chairs the curricular accessibility and assistive technology sub-group.
Stephen Houser

Stephen joined Bowdoin in 2015 as the Director for Academic Technology & Consulting. Stephen has a background in Computer Science and information technology management. As an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Computer Science, he teaches introductory and computer systems courses. His background includes experience in operating systems, mobile development, data communications, and data manipulation. He is an enthusiastic software developer, woodworker, tinkerer, father, and ex-scoutmaster, who enjoys the outdoors as much as the indoors with his two children.
David Israel

David supports a variety of areas, including scholarly research websites, course and student websites, WordPress, aerial drone (sUAS) imaging, 3D Printing, 3D imaging, and e-commerce. He also runs The Bowdoin Maker Space. His formal training is as an art historian and visual artist, and he has studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Massachusetts College of Art, and School of The Museum of Fine Arts Boston. He came to Bowdoin after a successful career working for The Walt Disney Company, Young & Rubicam, and others.
Colin Kelley

Colin Kelley specializes in digital storytelling, using tools in video, audio, photography and virtual reality to support in-class workshops and documentation of faculty research and teaching. He can also help with technologies like Adobe CC, Zoom, Canvas, Panopto and more. You’ll often find Colin in the H-L Library’s Media Commons, where he provides engineering and training support for the equipment loaner pool and media production studios. A graduate of Alfred University, he studied documentary filmmaking at the Maine Media Workshops, and continues to work in radio, film, television - including as the Technical Director for both the Camden International Film Festival and the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival.

Dj designs and manages Bowdoin’s High Performance Computing (HPC) environments. He has more than thirty years of experience supporting Unix/Linux in Research Computing, and more than twenty years experience specializing in HPC within research and academic environments.
Dj’s passion is to create the very best HPC research environment possible to enable people to accomplish great things, and have fun doing it. He loves working in Academia and being part of cool and exciting research projects, and being immersed in an innovative and creative atmosphere.
Jennifer Snow

Jennifer joined AT&C at its inception in 1998. While known for her work helping faculty build their courses in the College's learning management system (Canvas), she especially loves working with faculty and students in the classroom, supporting projects in ArcGIS Online, Story Maps, Qualtrics and other technologies. Jennifer graduated from Bowdoin with degrees in Art History and French, and has a Masters of Library and Information Science degree from Simmons University.
