Giving Opportunities

Gifts to Bowdoin are critically important to the College's success. Unrestricted annual gifts alone account for six percent of the College's operational budget. The generosity of Bowdoin alumni, families, and other supporters makes a significant impact on student life, the academic program, and every other aspect of life at Bowdoin.

Annual Giving

To continue to be a world-class institution, Bowdoin needs your support. There are numerous opportunities to support the College through the Alumni FundParents Fund, Polar Bear Athletic Fund, and Friends Fund. Unrestricted gifts allow Bowdoin to most effectively underwrite teaching and learning.

Giving Societies

The 1794 Society includes alumni, parents, and friends who are committed to investing in opportunities and experiences for today’s students by making significant, unrestricted current-use gifts. 1794 leadership donors play a vital role in Bowdoin’s ability to remain one of only ten college and universities in the country offering a combination of need-blind admission and no-loan financial aid, globally.
