Clery Act

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998 requires the distribution of an annual security report to all current faculty, staff, and students, and notice of its availability to prospective students, faculty, and staff.

The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning certain reported crimes that occurred on campus, in specific off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Bowdoin College, and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus buildings.

The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and fires in campus residential buildings.

You may obtain a copy of this report via the Office of Safety and Security website or by calling the Safety and Security administrative office at 207-725-3458.
