Congratulations, you found a job! What's next?

1.  Come to the Office of Student Employment (SEO)

You will need to come into our office to complete the federal I-9 form BEFORE you start working.  Form I-9 is used for verifying the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States. Be sure to bring your original and unexpired documents with you. 

Review the full list of acceptable documents. Examples of acceptable documents include a passport, a passport card, an original or government certified copy of a birth certificate, and Social Security card. The I-9 form must be filled out in blue or black ink. (Note: Expired document, copies, or faxes cannot be accepted.)

2.  Onboarding in Workday

Workday is the system used for entering time and receiving payment for on-campus work. Before you begin your job, you must complete your Workday Onboarding. When logging into Workday for the first time you will be prompted to enroll in Two-Step. You will be prompted to download the DUO app on your phone during the enrollment process.   

Onboarding consists of:

  1. Direct Deposit
  2. Federal W-4
  3. Maine W-4

Each form must be completed online via Workday AFTER you visit SEO to complete your I-9 form.

You will receive an email from SEO when you are able to access Workday. All three forms can be found in your Workday inbox.
