Sundays through Thursday evenings, you can come to WCONLINE and get virtual help with your academics from Bowdoin students who are:

Right when you enter Kanbar 102 we have a student manager on duty who can answer questions you might have.

You can check to see who is working on the online calendar and make an appointment.

We are closed Friday and Saturday nights.

The Baldwin Center is located across the hall from the Kanbar 101 computer lab which is open to students 24/7 and has a printer. There is also a printer in Hatch Science Library, a few steps away from Kanbar.

 

Daytime Hours:

Study Space, Meeting Space and Professional Staff at your Service!


The Baldwin Center (Kanbar 102) is open M-F 9:00-5:00. We are closed Saturday and Sunday.

During the daytime hours, you can make use of Kanbar 102’s lovely nature-like space to work. We offer free tea, hot chocolate and instant coffee and if you’re lucky, a snack or two might be on the counter! We also have staplers, tape, markers, sticky notes, and other helpful tools, and a printer is across the hall in the Kanbar 101 computer lab.

Also during the day, Mondays through Fridays, Lisa Flanagan, English for Multilingual Students advisor is available to help with papers and more (now available online!). You can email her for an appointment at lflanag2@bowdoin.edu.

Friday afternoons from 1-3 PM, there are writing assistants available (now available online!) since we are closed Friday evenings. (make an appointment online)

If you find yourself struggling academically and not sure if our peer services can help, you can meet virtually with Tina Chong, Assistant Director of the Baldwin Center, Academic Coach, to help figure out next steps. Make an appointment with her or fill out this Academic Services Request form and we’ll get back to you within 48 hours (many times sooner).

Cup of tea, anyone? The Baldwin Center space is light-filled from the huge windows overlooking the pines. The house plants, hot beverage bar and friendly staff makes Kanbar 102 a cozy, comfortable place to get some work done.
