Deadlines for Institutional Endorsement

National fellowships that require an institutional endorsement have a multi-stage application process.

Students interested in applying for a fellowship that requires an institutional endorsement must meet the initial Bowdoin deadline. For some fellowships, the Student Fellowships Committee conducts a paper review of the initial application materials, while for other fellowships the Committee interviews all or some of the applicants. In some instances, all candidates go forward and compete at the national level (e.g., Fulbright) and for other fellowships the Committee is allowed to endorse only a specified number of applicants who can then compete at the national level.

The below tables gives you an overview of the multi-phased deadlines for national fellowships requiring an institutional endorsement. Interested students are encouraged to click on the fellowship names listed below to find out more about each application process.
