We are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Bowdoin degree.
We do this by managing curricular offerings, facilitating course registration, disseminating information related to academic policies and processes, collecting grades, and issuing official certifications of students’ progress towards and obtainment of the degree of Bachelor of Arts.
Assistant Professor of Sociology, Theodore Greene
Students may elect the Credit/D/Fail grading mode in Polaris, Bowdoin's student information system, until Tuesday, November 24. The standard policy for Credit/D/Fail can be found here. Due to current circumstances, some temporary policy adjustments have been made. Please consult your academic advisor if you are considering making the switch to Credit/D/Fail and note that courses taken Credit/D/Fail will not fulfill division or distribution requirements.
