Policies and Procedures

Employee rights and responsibilities, workplace rules, and benefits policies and procedures are outlined in the online Employee Handbook for all employees. Policies and procedures may be changed or amended at any time and the online version will be the most current available.

The Bowdoin College Employee Handbook contains descriptions of the College's policies and procedures related to employment with the College. As an employee, you are expected to familiarize yourself with and comply with the policies and procedures. You should be aware that the Handbook is provided for guidance and informational purposes only. While the Employee Handbook provides for much detail, it does not cover every extent of every circumstance. Violation of College policy may result in disciplinary action.

In addition, Faculty are subject to the policies set forth in both the Employee and Faculty Handbook. Employees should also check the Important Notices for important governmental, statutory and regulatory notices.
