Summer Mail

Please review this important information regarding mail and packages for students during the summer.

Summer Mail Forwarding

During the summer, from the end of May until Mid-August, all USPS First Class letters and packages will be automatically forwarded to your "Permanent" home address listed in Workday. The Mail Center will not hold packages for the duration of the summer. Packages from UPS and Fedex cannot be forwarded so they will be returned to sender unless you provide a new shipping labels for the Mail Center to use.

  • Please take this opportunity to log on to Workday, click on the "Contact" tab, and review your current address information. Your PERMANENT address will be used for mail forwarding. If you would like mail forwarded somewhere other than your Home PERMANENT address, please add a third address; "Student-Alternate Mailing Address" with the contact information.

  • If you are on campus and DO NOT want mail forwarded during the summer, you must add an additional Student-Alternate Mailing Address with your Smith Union address information duplicated. Do not add any additional usage types to this address.

  • The deadline to update your information in Workday is Wednesday, May 20th.
