Faculty Retirement

The Office of the Dean for Academic Affairs is pleased to provide the following information as a service for faculty who are contemplating retirement. We recognize that the decision to retire is significant. We hope the following resources will support faculty and emeriti through this process.

To minimize the disruption for the department/program and enable advance planning for curriculum and staffing, we ask faculty to formalize their retirement plans with the Dean’s office at least a year before their intended retirement (which typically takes place as of June 30 of a given year) whenever possible.

However, faculty are welcome to come to us at any time with questions they might have about retirement.
