Academic Advising
Faculty advisors at Bowdoin support students as they select courses, engage with the liberal arts, complete their degree requirements, and navigate college life. During their first four semesters, students work with an assigned liberal arts advisor who helps guide their academic exploration. At the beginning of the fourth semester, students declare their major and are then assigned a new advisor—a faculty member in their major department or program.
