  • How important are standardized test scores?
    • Submission of SAT and ACT scores is optional at Bowdoin, and has been for 30 years. About 20-25% of recent entering classes decided not to submit standardized test results.
    • Because standardized test results are used for academic counseling and placement, all entering first-year student must submit scores over the summer prior to enrolling.

    • In early April. (Mid-December if you apply through the Early Decision program.)
