Ask a Student
We encourage you to have ongoing contact with a current Bowdoin student, one who has first-hand insight and can tell you about the professors, the course load, campus housing, the social life, and the ins and outs of life at Bowdoin.
An interview is strongly encouraged, but not required, as part of the application process.
Interviews are available to anyone applying for first-year admission for the fall of 2025. (Interviews are not available to transfer students unless you are a US veteran or military member.) The interviewer will guide the course of your give-and-take conversation, and there will be plenty of time for you to ask questions.
On Campus or Virtual
Students applying for admission in fall 2025 can request an in-person or virtual interview with a Bowdoin admissions officer or student. Registration is required.
Interviews with Bowdoin Alumni
Virtual interviews are available September 1 through December 1 with Bowdoin alumni across the world. These are official admissions interviews and are a great way to learn more about the College.
Alumni interviews will open on September 1.
Veterans and Current Members of the US Military
Request a virtual interview by using the veteran interview request form. Please refer to the form for deadlines.
