Washington, DC Fellowship

The Washington, DC Fellowship offers students an opportunity to work in a federal, state, or local government office in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Students propose a placement of their choice to work with for Summer 2024. Placements must be with a government office, agency, or non-governmental organization affiliated with government function. This comprehensive internship experience includes cohort meetings, networking with Bowdoin alumni, and a poster presentation showcasing your accomplishments over the summer. Fellows will be required to perform full time (40 hours a week) work for 10 weeks over the summer. Students need not have final confirmation of a placement when they apply for this fellowship and may continue searching for a placement (with assistance from the McKeen Center, if needed) after the due date for this application. Rising seniors, juniors, and sophomores are all eligible to apply, and preference is given to rising seniors.
