Pride Month 2025
Show your Bowdoin Pride throughout the month of June by joining fellow Polar Bears at an upcoming parade, festival, or happy hour. Bowdoin Pride Month is proudly co-sponsored by the Office of Alumni Relations, the Sexuality, Women, and Gender Center (SWAG), and Bowdoin's Queers & Allies (Q&A) Faculty/Staff group.

Brunswick Pride Festival
Saturday, June 14th from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET
Brunswick is showing its colors at the annual Pride Festival! Join LGBTQIA+ supporting organizations in the greater Brunswick area as well as across Maine on Saturday, June 14th, from 12-5 p.m. Visit the Bowdoin table on the town mall to pick up some swag, share some sunshine in a quick interactive activity, and say hello to students and staff. No registration required.
Portland Pride Parade
Saturday, June 21st at 1:00 p.m. ET
All members of the Bowdoin community and their guests are invited to walk behind Bowdoin's banner in the 2025 Portland Pride Parade! The parade steps off at 1:00 p.m., but please plan to line up around 12:15 p.m. at Bowdoin's group staging location (TBA). The parade starts at Monument Square in Portland, ME and wraps up at the Pride Festival in Deering Oaks Park. Bowdoin Pride swag will be distributed at the parade lineup, including custom Bowdoin Pride warrior head wraps, sunglasses, and more.

Out & Proudly NESCAC Pride
Wednesday, June 25th from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. local time
Whether you’ve joined an NESCAC Pride Out & Proudly event before or this is your first time, we can’t wait to celebrate with you! These gatherings are all about community, connection, and amplifying the importance of LGBTQ+ visibility. Happening across the country, each event is a chance for NESCAC peers to come together, make meaningful connections, and show your pride—so bring your energy, bring a friend, and let’s celebrate!

We’ll wrap it up at 5:30 p.m. with a Polar Bear group photo as a powerful, visible display of support for our LGBTQ community.
