Health Education

Health Education aims to promote health and prevent harm in the Bowdoin community. The office supports efforts across campus on health, wellness, and decision-making of self and community.

Students have the opportunity to work with the Office of Gender Violence Prevention and Health Education in several ways, and one of which is by being an employed representative of the OGVPHE. They work to promote health and prevent harm for the Bowdoin community through intentional programming, education, and leadership on campus. These students assist the office in empowering Bowdoin students to take care of themselves and each other. Through training and regular work with OGVPHE, they are equipped to share knowledge and resources in the realms of sexual health, alcohol and other drugs, and gender violence with the community on behalf of OGVPHE.

The goal of Health Education is to empower all students to make healthy decisions for themselves and others on the topics of sexual health, alcohol and other drugs, and gender violence prevention.
