Engineering Dual-Degree

The math department offers the opportunity of a dual-degree in math and engineering, partnering with engineering schools across the country.

Engineering Dual-Degree

Arrangements for a shared studies program with the University of Maine College of Engineering (open only to Maine residents), the School of Engineering and Applied Science of Columbia University, the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), or the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College. Students wishing to pursue such a program as a math major at Bowdoin must complete all the regular requirements of the math major, and may want to focus particular attention on courses in our "Modeling and Dynamics" and "Opt/Num Meth" categories as listed on the two-year course rotation. See Special Academic Programs for details on the options for an engineering dual-degree, or contact Corey Colwill, assistant director for the Center for Co-Curricular Opportunities, for more information.
