Resources and Opportunities

With its variety of funding, learning, and research opportunities, the Italian Studies Program at Bowdoin offers students the ability to further explore and experience the Italian-speaking world.

Grants and Fellowships

From a Fulbright Fellowship in Italy to a summer of research on campus, there are a multitude of grants, fellowships, and awards available to Italian studies students interested in furthering their understanding and exploration of the Italian culture, literature, and society.

Off-Campus Study

A period of study in an appropriate country, usually in the junior year, is strongly encouraged for all students of language, and there are excellent options in Italy. Interested students should start planning early in their sophomore year to select a program that fits their needs.
