Resources and Opportunities

With its variety of funding, learning, and research opportunities, Hispanic Studies at Bowdoin offers students the ability to further explore and experience the Spanish-speaking world.

Grants and Fellowships

From a Fulbright Fellowship in Central or South America to a summer of research on campus, there are a multitude of grants, fellowships, and awards available to Hispanic studies students interested in furthering their understanding and exploration of the Hispanic culture, literature, and society.

Off-Campus Study

A period of study in an appropriate country, usually in the junior year, is strongly encouraged for all students of language, and there are excellent options in Spain and Latin America. Interested students should start planning early in their sophomore year to select a program that fits their needs.
