Established fifty years ago, Spindleworks Art Center, based in Brunswick, Maine, is a nationally recognized progressive art studio that has become a vibrant part of the local community. This exhibition celebrates the vision of the artists whose work in a broad range of creative practices, from painting and sculpture to poetry and dance to weaving and new media art, provides a source of enduring inspiration and revelation.

This exhibition is curated by Mya Benally ’26 and Anne Collins Goodyear. We thank the artists of Spindleworks and their mentors for their encouragement and assistance. We also acknowledge with gratitude the financial support of the Elizabeth B.G. Hamlin Fund and the Kennebec Savings Bank, as well as the support of Casco Bay Frames & Gallery and Anthony O. and Heather W. Cox P’24.
