Sarah Graff, Curator, Department of Ancient Near Eastern Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, discusses how the renovation of The Met’s permanent galleries for ancient Near Eastern art has led to an important reconsideration of its iconic Assyrian Sculpture Court, an immersive space that evokes an audience hall in the Northwest Palace of Ashurnasirpal II.
