Student Employment
The Bowdoin College Museum of Art offers various paid employment opportunities for Bowdoin College students during the academic year and the summer. The student positions cover a wide area of interest and vary depending on the current needs of the Museum. Student employees at the Museum contribute to, and experience, diverse areas of Museum work. Openings for student employment at the Museum of Art are regularly posted on the Bowdoin College Student Employment website.
Student Assistants to the Curator
Student Assistants to the Curator work with the curatorial staff on collections and exhibition research, assist in the development of exhibition texts, and develop online and print resources, among many other curatorial duties.
Student Education Assistants
Student Education Assistants are trained to interpret the Bowdoin College Museum of Art's wide-ranging collection, providing guided tours of the Museum's exhibitions to groups of all ages, planning and leading family-friendly activities, including monthly Family Saturday programs, and developing educational resources.
Communications Assistants
Student Communications Assistants assist the Office of Museum Communication in managing the news, website, social media, and online and print publications, while helping to publicize Museum events across the Bowdoin campus and Brunswick community.
