Stowe Inn is a three-story, wood residence that houses approximately 68 students in singles rooms, triple and quint apartments. All rooms are carpeted. The singles have private bathrooms. Six singles include an efficiency kitchen (i.e., sink, stove top, counter space and cupboards). The apartments include a kitchen, living/dining room, bathroom and bedroom (triples have one bedroom and one bathroom, quints have two bedrooms and two bathrooms). There is a common room on the ground floor of the building. There is a full-sized elevator in the building.

Stowe Inn is 2,015 feet from the Polar Bear Statue located in Hyde Plaza.
The College supplies the following items for each student:
- twin bed, extra long (36" x 80")
- desk w/chair
In addition to the items above, at a minimum each apartment will have a couch, easy chair, coffee table, kitchen table and two kitchen chairs. Students must supply their own kitchen items (i.e., cookware, plates, cups, utensils, etc.)
Telephone and Voicemail
Each student is assigned a telephone number for their entire time at Bowdoin. One phone per room/apartment is supplied and each student has an individual voicemail box.
Television and Cable
All rooms are cable ready. Stowe Inn is equipped with a television in the ground floor common room.
High-speed internet ports are located in every student room. Additionally, all buildings on campus are wireless.
Stowe Inn has limited parking available for residents. Decals are issued to designated parking lots based on seniority and housing assignments on a first come, first served, space available basis. You can learn more about student parking at Bowdoin on the Security parking website.
The laundry room is located in the basement. The charge for washers and dryers is $1.70 per cycle. The washing machines and dryers in all residence halls are equipped with card readers; laundry machines do not accept cash. You may add money to your Bowdoin ID card for this purpose at several machines on campus. You can see what machines are open, get alerts sent to you when your laundry is finished, and report a problem with a machine at any time by visiting LaundryView..
All college-owned student residences are equipped with sprinklers and alarmed for fire safety.
Stowe Inn has a card access system. Residents of this residence hall have 24/7 access. All other students have access from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
There is no bicycle storage room at this location.
