Bowdoin to Award Alumni Council Awards at Reunion Convocation

The awards, which are chosen by the College's Alumni Council, recognize three members of the Bowdoin community—two staff members and one alumnus—for their exemplary achievement and dedication.

Alumni Award for Faculty and Staff : Two Bowdoin employees have been selected to receive this award for 2023, presented annually for service and devotion to Bowdoin, its students, and its alumni:

Director of Sustainability Keisha Payson is being honored for what the Alumni Council describes as her “outstanding commitment and unparalleled dedication to fostering sustainability at Bowdoin.” Read more.

Also honored is Director of Residential and Housing Operations Lisa Rendall, whose “dedication to the Bowdoin community goes well beyond [her] work with students.” Read more.

Alumni Service Award:  This award recognizes a record of exemplary service to the College, rather than a single act, and is regarded as the Alumni Council’s most significant honor. The latest recipient is marketing executive Michael Moynihan ‘89, praised for his unwavering commitment to Bowdoin, despite a demanding work schedule. Read more.

The Alumni Council awards and Common Good Award will be presented Saturday, June 1, 2024, during Reunion Convocation.

Registration for Reunion Weekend 2024 (May 30–June 2) begins in March.
