Brunswick Apartments is a wood structure, two-story apartment complex that houses approximately 225 students in double and triple apartments. Each double apartment comprises a full kitchen, living room, double bedroom and bathroom. The approximately half of the triple apartments are one-bedroom and half have an additional single bedroom. There are no elevators in this complex.
Brunswick Apartments are 2,750 feet from the Polar Bear Statue located in Hyde Plaza.
The College supplies the following items for each student:
In addition to the items above, each apartment will have, at a minimum, a couch, easy chair, coffee table, kitchen table and two kitchen chairs. Students must supply their own kitchen items (i.e., cookware, plates, cups, utensils, etc.)
Each student is assigned a telephone number for their entire time at Bowdoin. One phone per apartment is supplied and each student has an individual voicemail box.
All rooms are cable ready.
High-speed internet ports are located in every student room. Additionally, all buildings on campus are wireless.
Brunswick Apartments has its own parking lot for residents. Decals are issued to designated parking lots based on seniority and housing assignments on a first come, first served, space available basis. You can learn more about student parking at Bowdoin on the Security parking website.
the laundry room is located in a separate building in the complex. The charge for washers and dryers is $1.50 per cycle. The washing machines and dryers in all residence halls are equipped with card readers; laundry machines do not accept cash. You may add money to your Bowdoin ID card for this purpose at several machines on campus. You can see what machines are open, get alerts sent to you when your laundry is finished, and report a problem with a machine at any time by visiting LaundryView.
There are no vending machines at this location.
All college-owned student residences are equipped with sprinklers and alarmed for fire safety.
There is no bicycle storage room on site. Residents often keep their bicycles in their apartments.
The Residential Life student staff comprises seventy upperclass students. There are five Resident Assistants in Brunswick Apartments. Find out who the RAs are in your building.
