Bethany Walsh

Director of Career Advising and Education, Advisor for Technology

Bethany oversees career advsing at Bowdoin College, as well as career education which includes Sophomore Bootcamp. She also advises students interested in careers in technology.

Bethany joined the career team at Bowdoin in 2016, and has worn many hats since then. Currently, she oversees the advising team and practice, and is also focused on career education programming, including Sophomore Bootcamp. 

Bethany earned her B.A. in psychology and her M.Ed. in counselor education from the University of Maine and has spent the last 15 years helping undergraduate students navigate from college to the world beyond. From developing the Touchstone Project, a suicide prevention program at the University of Maine, to coaching students in a professional development program at MIT, she brings diverse experiences to her current role at Bowdoin College. 

Bethany is a Mainer who enjoys video games, gardening, traveling, exploring state parks, and all things creative. She has two spirited children who keep her on her toes, and a husband who encourages frequent culinary adventures.
