College Calendars

To the campus community,

The official calendar for Bowdoin’s 223rd academic year (2024–2025) and the tentative calendars for 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 are now available to view on the Bowdoin website by clicking on the years below:

As you know, beginning this year, the College will no longer hold classes during the week of Thanksgiving, which requires us to make up two additional class days during the fall semester. To do that, we will be starting the semester two days earlier. This year and next year, this shift in the calendar means that Convocation will take place on Labor Day. The College is usually in session on Labor Day, but I did want to highlight this change for those involved in Convocation and for those who may want to attend the ceremony.

As always, hourly staff who work on Labor Day will receive additional holiday pay.

Please note the locations of the college holidays and religious observances calendars; these are also linked from the academic calendar.

I am grateful to the members of the Calendar Committee for their thoughtful work on this project.

Best wishes,

Safa
