Equipment of the Benjamin W. Hill-Lam ’13 Observatory

On this page we list the equipment we use in the Observatory, as well as our instructional telescopes.

Dome:

  • ASA800, a Ritchey-Chrétien telescope at 5480mm focal length and 800mm aperture.
  • ASA DDM500 German Equatorial Mount with absolute encoders

Additional Equipment:

For large class observations, we utilize our "Pentafleet", 5 telescopes mounted on outside piers. These telescopes are Celestron CPC Deluxe 925 HD. 

We also utilize a 60mm Lunt Solar Telescope for observations of the Sun.
