Resources and Opportunities

With a variety of funding, learning, and research opportunities, the Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies (LACLaS) program at Bowdoin offers students the ability to explore the diverse cultures and complex historical and contemporary relationships of Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Latinas and Latinos in the United States.

Grants and Fellowships

There are a multitude of grants, fellowships, summer research opportunities, and awards available to LACLaS students.

Off-Campus Study

LACLaS majors and minors are encouraged to enhance their direct experience of the region and its people by studying in Latin America or in programs focused on Latino populations in the United States for at least one semester during their junior year.
