About N-TrAMS

Bowdoin College, located in Brunswick, Maine, is honored to host the Non-Traditional Arthropod Model Systems meeting (N-TrAMS). Inspired by previous international conferences on the cricket (Tokushima, Japan 2012-2014), this meeting welcomes perspectives from researchers working with a variety of hemi-metabolous arthropods.

The program will include sessions on Evolution & Development, Neuroscience & Behavior, and Resource Development & Techniques. Keynote speakers will highlight the recent trends in research tools and applications that are being used to investigate important questions in a variety of arthropods. The meeting will include a special focus on technique development, providing multiple opportunities for hands-on lab practice. We also plan to spend some time at Bowdoin’s Schiller Coastal Studies Center, giving us a chance to enjoy summer on the beautiful coast of Maine.

This conference is funded in part by the Office of the Dean for Academic Affairs at Bowdoin College.
