Chamberlain Scholars

As one of Bowdoin’s most prestigious awards, the Joshua L. Chamberlain Scholarship is awarded to a select group of students who have demonstrated academic achievements and have shown promise of exceptional success in college.

Octavio Orozco Ibarra ('20) used a portion of his Chamberlain funds to attend the Mathematical Field of Dreams Conference in St. Louis, MO. The conference was put on by the National Alliance for Doctoral Studies in the Mathematical Sciences. He attended workshops, interacted with colleges and universities, and researched summer research programs.
