Samantha Cogswell
Sam Collins Cogswell ’11 was initially connected to the McKeen Center as a student leader when she attended Bowdoin College. She joined the staff as an Associate Director in August 2021 and has worked on a variety of programs during her time in the Center. Currently, she runs the Student Community Action Network (SCAN), Common Good Grant, Community Engaged Learning, and administers assessment within the office. She greatly enjoys collaborating with student leaders and campus constituents with the goal of fostering reciprocal, long-term, and capacity building relationships with community partners.
Prior to working at Bowdoin College, Sam earned her Master’s degree in Development Practice at Emory University. She has had work experiences in the nonprofit and social change sector in Maine, Georgia, and internationally. Most recently, Sam worked in Utah at Salt Lake Community College in the Thayne Center for Service & Learning, their community engagement office on campus.
