Kristin Brennan

Executive Director
Kristin is the Executive Director of Career Exploration and Development, responsible for strategic direction, management of the team, and building collaborative relationships with Bowdoin faculty and staff colleagues, alumni, and partner employers.

Kristin most recently advised students and alumni of Harvard Business School and mid-career professionals enrolled in the cross-disciplinary Doctor of Education Leadership program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Kristin’s prior roles include Senior Managing Director of Strategy and Learning for Teach For America’s Alumni Affairs function, Chief Talent Officer for Citizen Schools, and Consultant with The Bridgespan Group, a spinoff of Bain & Company. Kristin began her career as a mediator and negotiation strategist, largely in public education. Kristin holds a B.A. in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business.

Kristin grew up in the Los Angeles area and has discovered that snowshoes and cross-country skis truly do make Maine winters something to look forward to. She enjoys trading recommendations for good fiction, podcasts, great restaurants, and live music venues.

Kristin also advises students interested in business and human resources, as well as those who are exploring or faced with challenging decisions. Current students can schedule an appointment with Kristin on Handshake.
