Hometown

I was born in Indianapolis, lived in Campinas, Brazil until I was 11, and then moved to Haddonfield, NJ. I moved to NYC when I was 18 for college and stayed until I was 33 (with a brief graduate school respite in Boston).

Background

I lived and worked in New York as an actor before coming to Bowdoin. My husband is a painter and we know nothing about sports, to the chagrin of our two boys. I was a competitive ballroom dancer in college and worked a million jobs to support my freelance acting lifestyle, including tending bar, waiting tables, documenting credit default swaps at Bear Stearns (you may recall that was the department that took down the bank) and working as an admin for Bernie Madoff's right hand man. I also worked the Clinique counter at Saks, Bloomingdales, and Bergdorf's.
