Dark Sky Advocate in Physics Department Makes the News

Local news station WGME recently reported on the efforts by lab instructor Paul Howell to keep Maine's skies gleaming with stars.

Howell told the reporter:"It is a magnificent thing to see the stars above our head. It is part of our culture, it is part of our heritage, going back thousands of years. We live in a universe of stars, and it is a shame, I think, to not be able to look up at them and see them."
