The John and Lile Gibbons Center for Arctic Studies and Barry Mills Hall, the two-building mass timber project completed last year, have been named one of 2023’s “Best of the Best Projects” by ENR, a weekly trade magazine covering the construction industry.

“These twenty selected projects reflect excellence in US design and construction for fostering innovation, advancing a culture of safety and bettering communities,” says ENR Editor-in-Chief Scott Blair in an article announcing what the publication calls “the cream of the crop.”

The Gibbons Center-Barry Mills Hall project had been named best project in the higher education/research category in ENR’s October 2023 issue.

The Gibbons-Mills Hall project and the other “best of the best” will be spotlighted in ENR’s March 11, 2024, issue and a gala held in New York City in April to celebrate the winners.
