Après Ski in Jackson Hole

During the first weekend in March, Bowdoin alumni, parents, and friends connected after a day on the slopes of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

With perfect timing, snow fell the night before to cover the trails with a fresh coat, making for perfect skiing and snowboarding conditions.

Hosted by Bowdoin Trustee Dave Brown ’79, the event took place at II Villagio Osteria, known for its wood-oven pizza and Italian fare. Polar Bears nestled by the fire in a corner of the restaurant and shared stories about the day.  Both the classes of 2005 and 2009 showed up in the largest numbers. Dan Mummery ’81 got the prize as the guest traveling the farthest to attend from the Bay Area.

This strong group of Bowdoin friends gets together quite often in both the summer and winter. If you would like us to alert you of future Jackson Hole events that may coincide with your travel, please let us know at alumni@bowdoin.edu. If you need a place to stay, check out local historian Ann Chambers Noble ’82, P’15 ‘s Chambers House Bed & Breakfast in nearby Pinedale. Additionally, you may want to consider a visit to the Darwin Ranch for a ride through the Gros Ventre Wilderness with Oliver Klingenstein ’15 as your guide!

You can view a photo story of the event here. Thanks to the Bowdoin Wyoming community for staying connected!
