Neil Olson ’86 knows both sides of the publishing business, writes Heather Senison in amNewYork. For more than three decades Olson has worked for a reputable New York literary agency (Donadio & Olson), where he has been a partner since 1996.

He is also an acclaimed writer whose latest novel, The Black Painting (Hanover Square Press, 2018) is enjoying positive reviews.

Senison asked Olson, who majored in English and art history, about life as an author in New York City, the changing nature of the publishing industry, and what it’s like “to sit on the writer’s side of an agency table.” Read more.
