• Setup of tables, chairs, tents, stages
• Moving event related items around campus

Role: Food and beverage

Tasks:

• Catered meals, coffee stations, boxed lunches, etc.
• Linen/skirting for tables
• Water stations
• Alcohol/bar service

Role: Audio/Visual

Tasks:

• Audio
• Projection
• Livestreams
• Hybrid assist

Role: Building access

Tasks:

• Unlocking/locking buildings for events
• Managing access privilige

Role: Safety, traffic control

Tasks:

• Reserving campus parking spaces with advance notice
• Directing traffic at crosswalks and high traffic areas when safety is a concern
• Providing crowd safety at large gatherings
• Emergency response

The facilities department is made up of different shops which each play a different role in providing services to campus. 

Facilities – Cleaning

Role: Cleaning

Tasks:

• Cleaning event spaces pre/post events
• Monitoring trash/recycling during large gatherings
• Restocking restrooms

Facilities – Electrical Shop

Role: Power and electrical support

Tasks:

• Provides extension cords, outlets, and power strips
• Internal Dig Safe

Facilities – Grounds

Role: Outdoor maintenance and trash

Tasks:

• Mowing lawns, clearing debris
• Setting up flags
• Trash and recycling bins for large outdoor gatherings
• Internal Dig Safe

Facilities – Carpentry Shop

Role: Banners and Signage

Tasks:

• Hanging banners
• Building and deploying signs

Facilities – Mechanical Services

Role: Heating/Air Conditioning

Tasks:

• Setting temperatures / Turning air on or off
• Internal Dig Safe

Facilities – Motor Pool

Role: Golf carts and generators

Tasks:

• Gassing up golf carts
• Generator set up/maintenance
