Links to all of the live Pre-Orientation sessions will be emailed to new students, and parents and guardians will receive an email the week prior with links to the sessions they are invited to attend.
All Pre-Orientation sessions will be recorded and posted to Canvas as soon as they are available—usually within 24–48 hours.
Monday: Welcome, Overview of Pre-Orientation, and Introduction to the Academic Program

Description: Join Martina Duncan ’97, registrar, and Rachel Beane, associate dean for faculty recruitment and pre-major advising, for a conversation about the transition to Bowdoin academics. We will review important dates, provide an overview of the course registration process, and answer your questions!

Wednesday: Housing & Residential Life Videos

Description: Watch the videos below to learn the basics of first–year housing! You will virtually tour a first-year residence hall (a.k.a. “the bricks”) so you can get an idea of spaces and layout.

We will discuss important resources, F-1 Visa logistics, and how to settle into campus life. We encourage all students who plan to attend Bowdoin on an F-1 Visa to join and meet your classmates.
