The Pangea Network is an international nonprofit (in Kenya and the United States). Its U.S. program, the Young Women's Leadership Challenge (YWLC), is a year-long leadership program for high school young women that begins with a six-day summer conference and continues through the year with the Take Action Challenge (TAC), a self-designed community service project.

Skills I learned:

  • Mentorship and coaching across two weeks of conferences, (116 girls) and one-on-one guidance in designing and executing their TAC.
  • Cross-cultural communication and adaptation across a diverse cohort, including refugees.
  • Data processing and analysis, translating participant outcomes into program improvements for the next cohort.

How it informed my career aspirations

  • Piqued my interest in International Development and mission driven work

Favorite part
