Sunrise Mountain Partners develops and acquires solar projects that offer economic benefits to landowners and deliver clean energy and savings to communities.

  • Supported solar project development in Maryland and Illinois, contributing to siting, research, real estate, zoning, permitting, utility analyses, financial modeling, construction, and negotiations.
  • Became the first intern at SMP to originate a deal, carrying it from siting and initial outreach through to a signed lease agreement.
  • Traveled on a business trip with our founder to help finalize that deal, an invaluable hands-on learning experience.
  • Built skills in zoning/utility interpretation, contract drafting, financial modeling, stakeholder communication, and project coordination.
  • Enjoyed working with two other NESCAC students and found the collaborative, detail-oriented environment at SMP both educational and rewarding.
  • I am thrilled and grateful to have signed a return offer to continue working during the academic year and next summer, furthering my aspirations of building a career in renewable energy.
