The NYU Project Healthcare program is dedicated to fostering compassionate, patient-centered care by immersing volunteers in the realities of the healthcare environment. With a mission to empower future healthcare professionals through hands-on experience, the program emphasizes health equity and patient advocacy.

As a Patient Advocate and Health Equity Clinical Liaison, I played a key role in the MyChart enrollment and screening workflow pilot project, which deepened my understanding of healthcare accessibility and the importance of clear communication in patient care.

This experience reinforced my commitment to pursuing a career in healthcare, sharpening my skills in patient interaction, workflow development, and team collaboration. The most rewarding aspect was witnessing the tangible impact of our efforts on patient care, which solidified my passion for making a difference in the lives of others.
