The Discrete Math REU is hosted at Baruch College in New York City. Participants are undergraduates interested in Mathematics research, and specifically in combinatorics, probability, and related topics. In the program, students work on an open problem and work towards publishing a paper.

In addition to intensive research work, the program includes many events: meetings with senior mathematicians, social events, mathematical talks, and much more.

My research was in combinatorial geometry, in particular concerning the representation of convex geometries.

I enjoyed my research – part of the purpose of such a program is to allow undergraduates to determine whether they wish to pursue graduate school or not, I am certain now that I do.

My favorite part of the program was the amazing food in NYC!
