The Middlesex District Attorney's Office in Massachusetts serves the largest county in New England, covering 54 cities and towns. It protects and serves the people who work and live in Middlesex County through investigations, prosecutions, victim advocacy, and crime prevention and intervention initiatives.

Assigned to the Cold Case Unit, I assisted in locating fugitives using electronic court records and proprietary law enforcement databases. I also organized scanned case files for greater accessibility of case documents.

This summer, I enjoyed learning about the criminal justice system in Massachusetts through work assignments and trainings. Trainings and panels in topics such as law school, different specialty courts, effective legal writing, and the intersection of race and the District Attorney's office were very interesting and deepened my understanding of the role of the DA's office in the community. Beyond this internship, I hope to gain more experience in the legal field, especially in public interest and public service.
