Third Party User Errors

Bowdoin is aware that some third party users are receiving error messages when attempting to view records for multiple students. We have determined that this is an issue that Workday must resolve and have escalated a support case with them to request an expedited resolution.

Some users are receiving the following error message in their "My Tasks":
"Page error. Attempt to delete instance [user's name] with 1 references as target of one way student engagement record sends to student proxy relationship."

This error occurs when a third party user has multiple records in the system. This can happen if they are associated with multiple students or if their information has been added and removed several times by the same student. In such cases, if we communicated with you using your email address before the accounts were linked, Workday considers each record as active, preventing it from being associated with another profile.

Workday has provided Bowdoin with a temporary workaround while they continue to develop a long-term solution. If you encounter this error, please submit a help request thorough the Workday Support Hub so our team of Workday support staff can assist you.
